I hate cookies. But if I eat one, it must be made of entirely organic ingredients and sweetened with the natural juices of fruit picked by labor who makes a living wage. No animal or animal by products can be in the cookies, either.

Here's Laura Busch's Resecipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies
3 sticks butter (room temp)
1 cup sugar, 1.5 cups brown sugar
Cream these ingrediants together in a large mixing bowl
add
3 eggs (1 at a time)
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 cups quick oats
Mix together
then hand mix in
2 cupps chopped walnuts
3 8 oz packages of chocolate chunks
2 cups chopped sour cherries
Bake on parchment covered cokkie sheet at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes

The other day when trav and gae were over at my place picking plums and berries from my organic fruit orchard, they both casually noted how your attitude has deteriorated. While I'm getting a freshly-baked fruit pie and some of gae's special plum preserves, you only get an admonition regarding your poor behavior.

I hate to admit, but almost any chocolate covered Elf cookie is purely addictive to me.
I don't want to hijack Greg's thread, JDF, but it IS possible to spend one's younger years jealously <s>hoarding</s> guarding Elf cookies, and get over it.
That said, somewhere around here I have a recipe for chocolate cookies that were often called "Better Than Sex" cookies by a former coworker.
I'll post if y'all want a chocolate/cookie fix.
