Oh someone mentioned that the other night! I'm sure it was Donna. I haven't seen it nope.
The DVD'z i bought recently i have been watching were Trilogy Of The Dead(Daw Of The Dead iz my all time fave ever!), The Nightmare On Elm Street Box set, Dog Soldiers and 28 Days Later.
Watched 'School Of Rock' and Seb Bachs 'Forever Wild' DVD, and consumed Jelly Tots, went to the motoGP, drank beer, played snooker, ate food, slept, dreamt , watched fish swim in the tank, designed a paint scheme for a semi-auto shotgun and let go of some unwanted waste at regular intervals through-out...that was bout it, am broke!
<font size="3" face="Arial">Cool film I enjoyed it.Quote:

Showing me age a bit now but I went out to a kidz party Saturday. Kids played on a bouncey castle while the adults sat around drinking and eating all day. Didn't go to bed till 2.00 am mind.
Recovered from all the drinking yesterday by watching some films. Cold Mountain, Orange County and the Italian Job.
Worked Friday and Saturday night. Last night I went bowling with some pals, then on to a bar to see Jam Busters, a blues jam open-mic thingy. Got home about 2am.
Wife and kids went out of town, so Friday night I was my buds house getting loaded on fine beers. It was a long walk home, as he lives right next door.
Saturday was spent cleaning my garage out. Listening to "The Biz Suxx" (apologies to Darren) at full volume. I swear that damn album gets better as the years go by! Also was spinning a bunch of Faces CD's thanks to Souled-Out telling me about the new boxset! ARGH!!! I NEED THAT THING!!!
Sunday was spent washing our cars, and waxing mine. Then it was inside to kick back with the movie Below and to work on a Godzilla model.
went to the intrepid fox and decadence on saturday night. had a blast!!!!!! totally awesome night out.
Went to see Mustasch on friday night.
Saturday i just watched some movies.
Sunday i ripped my couch apart, gonna make it bright red with white stripes
<font size="3" face="Arial">How are they live??? If you look down a bit here, I started a thread looking for people who like them, and pointing Cult fans in their direction. I like 'em quite a bit, but I have a REALLY hard time seeing that voice attached to that vocalist. Maybe if he would lose the damn mohawk, sideburn thing. Great band though, really great band.Quote:

Great live, n they get better each time i see em. It's much heavyer live then on record.
Ratsafari was one of the best records last year.
Carl, I thought you didn't drink, bro'.
Spicey, I love that movie. Very cool stuff. Also, if nobody here has checked it out yet, be sure to watch the director's cut of Butterfly Effect. Different ending that changes everything. Very cool stuff.
Also, boss lady, you read my interview yet? Feedback?
yah, sent you a message on yahoo IM Lycan
I DON'T SEE IT!!!! I know that my yahoo messenger automatically deletes offline messages. Must've done that to me. Could you paraphrase and send me a private message on here?

Actually, I have only become a beer snob in the past two years. Before that I would have a drink every rare now and then. It is a very social thing, and I only get tanked now and then. But I will have a beer or two a week. My budget can't afford the stuff I drink on a regular basis. So maybe that is it, I don't drink shit.
Fave beers:
Westvleteren (this is the most amazing stuff in the world, but really pricey and REALLY hard to get ahold of)
La Trappe - Quadrupple
St. Bernardus - Abt 12
Chimay - Grande Reserve
Duvel
Celebrator - Unreal stuff!
Bear Republic Big Black Stout
Westmalle Triple
Burning River - Great Lake Brewing Co.
Racer 5 - Bear Republic
Whatever my cousin is brewing
My fave styles are the Trappist and Abbey Ales, mainly the Strong Dark Belgian Ales. But I also love Triples and Pale Ales. You will never find me with a Bud, Miller, Coors, or anything of the sort, and you will almost never find me with the improper glassware, or drinking it straight out of the bottle. That is just wrong.
Carl, you are a beer snob! kidding of course. I have never even heard of those brews, that is no kidding. For me it's Corona or Corona Light and there is always Michelob Ultra in the house because that is all she will drink. I just tried Guinness this past week and while it didn't knock my socks off i probably will drink it again. (sorry for not listening to you Drew, next time)
What you should try is some Red Bull mixed with Stoli Orange Vodka or Rockstar mixed with Malibu Rum. (thank you you know who for that one) both very tasty.
and of course, there is always Vampire Wine in the house.
I'm not much for mixed drinks. The umbrellas keep getting stuck up my nose.
Guinness is too light tasting and watery for me. I will drink it if all that is around the joint is Bud and Miller type of shit. But for Stouts, I prefer the Bear Republic I listed, along with Founders Imperial Stout, Rogue Imperial Stout, Storm King Stout, and a bunch of others. But if you step into the land of the Imperial stuff, be warned!!! They are HIGH alcohol monsters that will kill ya if you don't pay attention. That is also the thing, I think the lowest alcohol content on that stuff above is 8% and up to 12%. Guinness actually has fewer calories and less alcohol in it than does a Bud Light or a Miller Lite. So if you are watching your belly, go ahead and enjoy the Guinness.
If you are looking to substitue a few meals, grab any of the beers I mentioned. Trappist products (actually brewed by Trappist Monks in their Abbeys, of which there are only Westvleteren, Westmalle, Chimay, Orval, Rochefort, and Achel) actually started out as what the Monks would live on during times of fasting. The beers have enough nutrients in them to sustain your diet. If you ever buy one, hold it up to the light. They are usually unfiltered, VERY cloudy and usually have chunks floating in them. But don't let it scare you, as they taste unllike anything else and are amazing! You will always find something Abbey or Trappist in my house at all times. Abbey Ales, by the way, are ales brewed by the Monks methods and standards, but not by the monks. There are some damn fine imitations out there (as St. Bernardus and La Trappe are, but they are both ex.Monk brews that continued on after the Monks left), and at a fraction of the price.

Ok
Friday night went and saw a band Malibu Stacey featuring 2 members of Terrorvison and on Saturday helped me dad and bro shift 20 tonnes ( a hell of a lot) of topsoil round our garden. Saturday night a few beers to help me sleep and not a lot the next day.
Anyone ever drink Thai Beers, Chang or Singha?
I haven't had the guts to try stuff from Asia yet. I hear tales of a wicked hangover.
Was working so not that much fun.On Friday went to Intrepid Fox for a few beers with some glammie friends, and on Saturday went for a meal with a mate after work....and Sunday.....the best of all!!YESSSS!!!Went to park to see all the babyducks, awwwwww, they're the cutiest things ever...awwww :-)
Carl, my local pub sells all the Belgian ales, three different Chimay's, Duvel, Leffe Blonde and Brune, etc, etc.
You ever tried Hoegaarden? That stuff is weird. Not my kinda thing.
Btw, I was sure proper Guinness contains about four times the calories of a regular lager (approx 200 cals a pint for lager, 800 for Guinness). Loads of iron n stuff, that's why they recommend a glass to pregnant mums. Maybe I'm wrong? It is a bit scarey to think how many extra calories I've had lately!

Carl... I'm guessing who ever served you the Guinness had watered it down tremendously, Guiness is thick gloopy stuff, it's reknowned for being very heavy on the tummy, like a meal in a glass LOL!
As for drinkies.... I've just found a nice lil entree of 'Amaretto Liquer' *yum yum yummy ... also, can't beat a nice Black Russian or Rose' Tequila
Jesus how anyone can drink/eat Guiness iz beyond me. Bloody awful!
I haven't been able to enjoy a nice pint of Heinekin now in over a week due to an infected tooth.
Stacey, you could be very well right. I know that there are a few versions of Guinness, and what we get here in the States might be different, as it does travel a bit and I have always heard the only way to truely have a Guinness is to go to the source, being Ireland. But I am guessing what can be found throughout the UK is very similar.
Spice, as mentioned to Stacey, I think we get a different critter here. I have been putting down the Guinness for sometime now, and I do like it, but it doesn't hold a candle to some of the other Stouts I usually drink, either in taste, thickness, color, smell, or anything. But since Guinness is considered the King of them all, I am guessing those that say Guinness is wonderful "over there" are VERY right.
Andii, Heinekin? You mean skunk in a bottle???
Oh, and Stacey, your local joint sounds HEAVENLY!!! Yes, I LOVE Hoegaarden! A beautiful Belgian White that is a KILLER summer beer. Lovely stuff. That is one that I can get on tap just down the road from where I work. I can get some very nice stuff from them, and the talk is pretty good there as long as I go at the right times. But I hardly ever go, as I have a better selection in my house and at MUCH less cost.
Skunk in a bottle? Well, i never found no fur in mine mate.... or funny smellz
It always has that "fake import" taste to me. But hey, if you like it, rock on! Could be a bit different over there. I guess even McDonalds tastes different in your part of the world.
Carl, have you ever had Blackened Voodoo? I started drinking that a few years ago and like 6 months after i did it just vanished from these parts.
Never had the Blackened, but I have had the Crimson. In fact, I have two of the Crimsons iin my fridge. I like them so much that those two bottles will probably still be there in 10 years time, unless I get somebody else to drink them.
I think I have heard that the Blackened is good though, from somebody else who also disliked the Crimson.
