Yeah, i think you can still get their Anthology cd at www.fashionpolicerocks.com but be warned, the cd has 21 songs.. but the last 4 did'nt come out to good...lots of pops and skips on those songs, whoever manufactured this cd should never be allowed to do another one....no artwork either....Perfect Life, Alone/Together, Days & Nights, I Want Love, Plug Me In.....are some very cool glam/melodic rock songs...a very under-rated band....in fact, this is the first post i even remember them being mentioned. *See Pic Below*

I used to have the second on tape. It was called New Minority. Nothing much to write home about, if I remember correctly.

"New Minority" was done after the tragic death of the lead vocalist...and has the bass player Dave on vocals...not very good IMO!!... they had 3 demo tapes out before that one...the 1991 4 trx demo, the 1992 Callin' All The Shots" and the "Plug It In" from 1993.

I believe he was stabbed trying to stop a robbery ..heard he even tried to drive himself to a hospital.

Anyone remember this band out of Ohio ? More AOR/Rock than glam but I remember them having a decent 1st release with some good tunes. I think the second release was more heavy and not as "Glam" sounding. I remember hearing that they were going to re-release these on cd a while ago but was not sure if they did.

No, I dont think they are the same as Pretty Vacant. They were around in the early 90's and put out one really good demo tape that was a mix between glam and hard rock. There are some standout songs, a little like Rated X if you remember them.

Actually, some of the members were in Pretty Vacant, the bass player (Dave) i know for sure was in the band, but the vocals sound different. .....like Bp 2K said, similar to Rated X....although i think Rated X were the better band.

I mentioned them before a very long time ago, then quite amazingly one of the members posted here (Guitarist I think) and sent me an mp3 of 'I want more'
Gonna download the rest of the tunes and If I like email (if that address is still active) to buy the stuff.
Just wish they had some money to put artwork with the cd, gonna buy taps just for the pics.

Being from Cleveland I had to chime in on this. Dave Belinger the bass player for "Fashion Police" was indeed in "Pretty Vacant". Both SUPER COOL bands. The wildest thing is I was going to be the guitar player in "Fashion Police". I ended up forming my old band again "Bad Madam". But the Fashion Police are and Icon in Cleveland "Glam Rock" Their singer Daniele Montasanto was killed in a stabbing at an intersection in Cleveland by a man that should be executed for taking the life of a Prince in Cleveland. Dan was a great front man and deserved better than what his fate was.

I got to hear 6 Fashion Police songs last night. Bloody awesome! I also noticed the song `Sunset Blvd` was also later done by Pretty Vacant. Very cool stuff though [img]smile.gif[/img]

Pretty Vacant recorderd "Sunset Bolevard" first. Then Fashion Police did it. By the way Daniel was stabbed at an intersection in Collinwood,Oh a pretty rough neighborhood in Cleveland. The jerk off smashed into Daniles car and when Daniel got out of the car and approached the man he stabbed Daniel. Danile did try to drive himself to the hospital. And he either passed out while he was driving or died while he was driving and smashed into a bunch of parked cars on the road. He was DOA. I tell ya that guy was an awesome person and a killer frontman. He should have made it as well as the Fashion Police. He was robbed. But by you guys posting on here about him and his band they did make it !!!!!!!!

Oh Pretty Vacant were BEFORE Fashion Police??? I never knew that and yup, Marc told me the story about that guy.... very sad.
