[img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] Um so December, January, February are officially Summer here so uh, does anyone want to offer an explanation as to why my lawn is covered in giant hailstones, following a huge hail/rainstorm plus its freezing, plus the wind is gusting at a hudred miles an hour. We're not quite ready to let it leave here yet. Yesterday we had temperatures in the mid 70s (~24C). :P
Yeah. I talked to my dad a few days ago and he said they were still running the air-conditioner.
At 6:30 PM it was 3 here.

The forcast high for wed, thur & fri is -24C
That's the HIGH Temp! Minus 24!!!!! Not counting wind, which is 55kph gusting to 70kph outside at the moment... tonight it'll warm up to +2C, just to get everything wet & mucky, then -20 by tomorrow evening, to freeze everything solid.
Why do I live here again? Can someone remind me...
OK SUMMER and not far from the longest day of the year I'm sure and this was my lawn in the weekend, it doesn't even do this in the middle of Winter in Auckland. (Except once in a blue moon, I've only ever seen hail like this once) I know this isn't exciting for people with snow but it doesn't snow up here either. The hailstones were as big as moth balls.

No idea what the temp is here in eastern NC, but it snowed last night. Don't know how much, but going by what the kids have stomped through on the front lawn, it looks to be well over one's ankle. How this affects our plans to leave in a day or two for Mississippi is unknown at this point.
It isn't even offcially winter until tomorrow and I'm already counting the days until summer...
