This is the same music that ended up being released by New Renaissance Records as Rock City Angels aka The Glam CD. The musician credits have been corrected and the cover art is different
"Baby let's go! Too cool of a demo. This is the way I remember Rock N Roll! No fancy guitar leads, just honest music that you can groove to. A ten song cassette. All those dead rockers would be saying "This Is It!" I think bands like this need support rather than local bands who have money galore and the mentality of a retard. Choice cuts: "Let's Go," "Dame Killer," "LA Woman," "Teenage Lipstick Boys," and "Glitter Queen." Do you remember Rock & Roll? Well the Angels still do! - Rick"
and we all know that The Rock City Angels was the band that Johnny Depp was in before 21 Jump Street.

i'm very happy. i liked their geffen album very very much. can't wait to listen to the new stuff
-
Luca, if this is the same album that was released by New Rennasiance, I have it. If you want it, let me know. I can have it up for you tonight.
Personal opinion, it's terrible stuff. Many people say that Geffen f'ed them over and made them change. Well, if the change was due to Geffen, they should be kissing Geffen's ass for making them a good band!

Ummmmm ... sorry to appear dumb here ... have the guys reformed or not ? There was an ad for them playing in London a couple years ago, but then it got cancelled ... sorry in this rock starved land we hear nowt about this sort of thing and there is not exactly a mountain about RCA on the web ...
It would be just too much to hope that RCA AND Buckcherry have both reformed in the same week ... all that would need to happen to complete the best rock year ever then would be for a Beautiful Creatures UK tour ...

Nobody is too sure. RCA have been together for awhile now, but nobody has seen any proof of it. Kind of like Star Star still being around, and supposedly playing out in Greece (their new home) and having newly recorded stuff. But still nobody has heard any of the new Star Star or seen them. It's a mystery. The RCA site shows some live shots, but it looks like they got some local kids to join Andy and Bobby on stage for the night. RCA it does NOT look like. So who knows? Go to the site and get the tunes that are available, a few are post Geffen. They say they have a new album recorded, so it does look promising.

The show last year in London that got cancelled, I'm not even sure it was THE Rock City Angels, or another band with the same name that blew us off.
Didn't matter too much as they reduced the entry fee to ?6 and I still got The X-iDolls and Renegade Playboys for that.
-
I thought it was you that mentioned trying to go see them. It was indeed that RCA that blew you off. They make mention of it somewhere on that site, I think. I know I was able to find out that it was the same band though.
-
Damn! James you're right. It wasn't last year, but 2003!!! Time flies when you're having fun.

maybe i was way too excited and i messed up my post...the thing about what i am so happy is that i read on that site that rca are going to come out with a new record.
i have the demo album(the version before this i mean) and i partially agree with you:the geffen album it's a lot better but i like also some of the songs on the demo.
cheers

ps:thx anyway,carl

I don't know, I really wonder if RCA will be back. Somebody here saw that they were playing the UK a few years back, and they ended up blowing off the show, RCA did. If that site still has the same old pictures that they had before, the pictures of the live shows rae friggin' hysterical.
-
Hey there cheers for the info - still a tad confusing non ? The promo for the 2003 shows showed a picture of the classic RCA line up so I guess it must have been them !
Great that you enjoyed the show anyhow ... The Renegade Playboys are utterly utterly awesome ...

They were ok that night, but I think they've improved with the line-up changes. The real reason I was there was to see The X-iDolls.
-
They certainly have over the course of 2004 ... bloody marvellous now ... still wish there was some RCA action tho ... weirdly I was watching the Johnny Depp documentary on The Biography Channel last night and they totally made no reference to the Angels which kinda sucked.
