Boredom: the worst crime of them all on the face of Neopia. An almost unsolvable problem, when one is alone and left to their own devices for an entire day. Fortunately, Korruen was quite an intelligent pet, and good at stirring things up. In fact, it was something of a blessing that he had the day to himself...oh, yes. No stupid half-witted Soulless to try and keep him quiet; she had even taken along his Airax and saved him the trouble of trying to keep it at home. It was almost as if he was Hoai'ain's pet rather than vice versa, at times...
"Hey! Kid! Watchit!" someone yelled irritably, and the Bori almost jumped before catching himself in the act. He nimbly dodged the swat of the old Bruce's cane, sticking his tongue out as the fellow irritably walked past him before visibly resisting the effort to count the hairs on his tail. That's what you got for standing daydreaming when you were right in the middle of a busy street, really the busiest street in the city...
No, Korruen really should have known better. Anyone looking on would have thought him some newbie's just-created pet if they were watching ((excuse the real irony to that, please)), rather than the street-smart veteran that he really was, at least until the cane was brought into play. Until his most recent owner had foolishly made a promise never to put a pet in the Pound he had been a regular to that place...but of course, she'd now let him loose to terrorize the world, and that was exactly what the clever, mischievous pet planned to do today. A wicked grin beginning to form at the edges of his face, Korruen began to seek a victim...
