Bianca came through the door after going to where her vision took place.. Finding nothing. Then going to her sisters how, to find her not home.
She didn't have a cell phone-- just a house phone. It was all she could afford.
She checked her messages. Sophie had called.
So she picked up her phone and tried to call her back.
But it just rang and rang, until it went to the voice mail.
"Hey Sophie! I tried to stop by your house.. You weren't there. I really need to get a cellphone-- Uhm. I had a vision. I wanna tell you about it. And I managed to get out of the vision with a note. Uhm. Call me." Click!
Then she hung up the phone on the hook, and plopped down on her couch. Staring off to the left at her black cat Shadow.
She took him in, after mom disappeared. He was ten now. And growing some gray and white hairs. Bright green eyes. Part siamese, he was beautiful to her.
She petted him, and he meowed. Most siamese were pretty talkative. He had a drowl tone. Then she stood up and headed to the stand up tank in her dining room.
Peered into the tank, turned on the light.
"Sorry buddy. I forgot to turn on your light after I turned it off."
She wasn't suppose to turn it off, but if he sunbathed too much.. or too close to it. He could burn. At least she was paranoid enough to think he would burn.
It was her Chameleon.
His name was Camo.
You know.. Like Camouflauge?
Anyways. She took the tank lid off to take him out.
And that's when the phone rang.
Maybe it was Sophie. Or her Brother.
