RIP Andy Martinez of The Nekromantix

Andy passed away this past weekend in a fiery car crash along the 57 in Fullerton. He played drums like it was nobody's business and was a full time member of The Nekromantix and The Rocketz. My former band Deadbeat Sinatra played several shows with The Rocketz and I got to know Andy pretty well and he was one of the coolest, funniest, most humble guys you could ever know. Just ask anybody in the scene in California and nearly everyone will have some sort of Andy story to tell. This was a devestating blow to Rockabilly/Psychobilly music.
