I was wondering if any one has installed a 700 in an early Suburban. I have an interest in putting one into a 69 2 wheel drive. What does it entail? I'm sure there has to be some cross member work, and possible driveshaft cutting. Thanks, Jon

Since my Turbo 350 went out, I am going to be putting a 700R4 in mine within the next month. From what I have been told you will need to cut about 2-3 inches from the driveshaft, you will need a new dipstick tube, converter, TV cable, If you want to lockup to work you will need to buy a compter from JET to control it, and I think the tranny mount will need to be pushed back a little bit. I am not sure on this info, but this is what I have been told.
As soon as I start I will let you know if I encounter any problems during the swap.
Thanks for the reply, I'll be watching to hear from you on your progress. Also, thank you for the heads up on the rear seat brackets on Ebay, I didn't see the post till after the auction was closed. I did email the guy and he said he had more. Thanks, Jon
No problem, and glad to help where I can.
here is a link to a suburban for sale on ebay, the guy used a full suburban interior seat set including the 3rd seat, check it out to get an idea of how it will look.

The 700R4 is a best manual for a retrofit into an earlier hand car. It has a 0.7 to 1 atop drive ratio making even 4.11 apparatus amazing on the street. It have the external dimensions and case.
