the only thing that would make it better is 2 12ga romex wires in parallel soldered onto the terminals

Parallel 12 ga? Jeff's clueless, 1000 MCM cable minimum! [61] strands of 29 ga to ensure skin depth to > 541 kHz, voltage spikes to 35 kV to handle a system full of ultra 'fast' caps and up to 600+ amps for absorbing those Dc negative spikes. BIB [bigger is better] rules! Go big or go home, etc.. [Sorry, too tempting to resist ;)]

In keeping w/current wisdom, (newer is better),
Copper coated aluminum, is Far Superior to,
'just plain copper'.
Much lighter, as well.
