In an effort to improve SEO and the way search engines display forum information we have added the ability to add Meta Keywords and Meta Descriptions to your forum(s) in the Hostboard Control Panel.

Meta Keywords are a specific type of meta tag that appear in the HTML code of a Web page and help tell search engines what the topic of the page is. Meta keywords are distinguished from regular keywords because they appear ?behind the scenes,? in the source code of your page, rather than on the live, visible page itself.

Meta descriptions are attributes (sometimes called a meta description "tag") is an HTML element, ~160 character long, that describes and summarizes the contents of your page to search engines. While the importance of meta data has depreciated as a whole, the meta description still plays a significant role in on-page SEO.
