Writing on the back of the cones. I'll bet cash they are reconed. And with Aftermarket parts. I would pay maybe 750 in the condition they are in.
There's a pair on Reverb- look like original cones. One bad diaphragm and chipped horn.
You?re probably right about the recone. They are in Cali, and probably came from a studio or something. Those guys reconed their woofers pretty often it seems like.
I?m always suspicious of things that are 50 years old and in ?original? condition, but the frames and horns look pretty clean on this pair. For another 300$ someone could have them reconed/recharged at GPA and have a nice pair of drivers. Seems like the Urei 604 just don?t fetch the same money that a normal 604G does.
