Thoughts on Using Poker Bot AI for Personal Use?
Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the world of AI recently and I got curious—what are your thoughts on using poker bot AI just for personal use? I’m not talking about anything shady or using it online against others, just as a tool to train or analyze my own games. Like, I’ve been recording my hands and trying to break down how I play, but it gets overwhelming. An AI that helps me spot patterns or suggests better moves could be super helpful for learning. I’m wondering if anyone here has tried using something like that—maybe just feeding in hand histories and seeing what the bot says? Are there ways to customize them for different styles of play or even train one based on my own decisions? I’d love to hear if anyone’s messed around with this kind of setup

Yeah, I’ve played around with something like that too. I’m into scripting more than full-on AI, but I did integrate some basic neural network training using data from my previous sessions. I gave it access to thousands of my hands and tagged results manually, so it started recognizing things like when I overvalue certain hands in marginal spots. It doesn’t tell me “do this” or “don’t do that”—instead, it shows probabilities of success based on my own tendencies. It’s weird seeing how predictable I can be from a machine’s point of view. The coolest part? It helps me prep before a session. Like, “hey, last time you spewed chips from early position with KJo—maybe ease up on that today.” It kind of keeps me accountable, like a silent coach that knows all my leaks

I’ve actually been doing something similar for the past few months, not with a full-blown bot playing games, but more like a simulation assistant. I run hand histories through a basic AI model I coded myself (nothing fancy), and it gives me positional insights, bet sizing comparisons, and some opponent-type breakdowns. It's surprisingly useful for spotting those autopilot mistakes I wasn’t even aware of. The best part is I can tweak the model based on my bankroll strategy or game type—like adjusting aggression based on stack depth in tournaments vs. cash games. It’s more of a study partner than a cheat code. I wouldn’t rely on it 100%, but it definitely opens your eyes to tendencies you’d otherwise miss. Still working on making it more adaptable though—currently it doesn’t handle multiway pots too well. There is however cool Poker Bot AI that really works you know
