This is a true story, I swear to God. It happened to my neighbour a few days ago, who is going in shortly for a hip replacement. She is in her 80's, but may pass for 75 years of age. Maybe!
Anyway, she naturally had to go in for a blood test, as well as answer questions about herself before the surgery. A new intern was the one in charge of the questioning.
One of his questions to her, in all seriousness, was "Are you pregnant??
I am not sure what her reply was!! Hopefully he now realizes there is no need to ask a person in that age group this question!!!
