Both Celene and Allie will be able, and are willing to pay the initial costs for their respective temples from their own funds. Both will accept /voluntary/ (not taxed) donations from the townsfolk (and PCs) however.

Let's start with some construction costs:

Leonangelo De Raphael has been hired to help with the design and oversight of construction of the following:
Temple of Stellari
Temple of Lunari
Temple of Tor
Temple of Jester
Tindale Academy of Wizardry (or whatever you want to call it. By the way, that is a great thing for the town. Nothing builds up a small town better than a university or factory).

Leo will accept a flat fee for his services and oversight of 1,000 gold pieces plus room and board during this time. He has already put in time, and util now, he has ben paid by the king. But New Tindale is no longer the King's problem, so time to pay your way.

Great heroes deserve greatness, and Leo has designed Temples that will blow the mind of anyone expecting a simple small town chapel. The structures are by no means as grand as those found in Spariticus or Talagon City, but clearly these temples will be more magnificent than anything Baron Thaylias' colleagues have in their fiefdoms.

The costs given will cover parts, labor and all necessary upkeep for the next year, meaning they will be amply stocked with mundane supplies and fixtures. Employment of clerics and lay people to run the churches are another story. We will not use game time to address these issues, but will use Hostboar for them, so that a permanent record can be referenced regarding all discussion and decisions. The respective churches have donated coin and supplies, so the costs are merely what Tindale must pay.

The Temples of Stellari and Lunari will each cost 3,000 gold to construct. White Marble will be used, and special designing methods allow worshippers to see the sky clearly from within, so that the moon and stars are always visible at night. (Perhaps a retractable skylight opening or other such edifice can be used).

The Temple of Tor, in a cave outside of town, at the foot of the mountains, will cost only 1,000 gold. The reason is that dwarves from the Steelhammer, under orders of Lord Brandorg, have been sent to assist. many of the worshippers of Tor are dwarven, and the devout will come here for services. A couple of prospective clerics are helping as well, in hopes that they may serve the temple. Thurvold's use of stoneshaping also aids in keeping down the costs. Between magic, funding, zealous labor, devotion and dwarven skill, this temple will be the finest Temple to Tor in any human-run minicipality save Talagon City.

The Temple of Jester shall be named by Allie, as the sign outside will reveal this as more than a temple. It shall be used as both a Temple, as well as a branch office for Order of the Harlequin. It is also a pleasure palace that Donald Trump would drool over. Food, Alcohol, Theater, Music, Prostitution, gambling and worship can all be done here in the name of The Jester. The tavern that stood here will be leveled and a new one built in its place to accomodate sections for the various forms of entertainment, including a stage and offices for the Harlequin and worshipping area. The cost for reconstruction, gambling eqipment, etc, will be 2,000 gold falcons. This is less than the major deity construction sights because it will be mostly wood, with some small amount of stone masonry, whereas the other temples are marble, stone and wood.

The Wizard Academy will cost 3,500 gold. The costs for this is more for fixtures and supplies than actual building. A location will have to be picked.

I encourage input, especially if there is an issue with funding. While some of you have already told me what you are looking to spend, please post what each of you will spend for this endeavor. Total cost is 13,500 for the above.

I believe I said in an email that each of my characters would give at least 3000 gp. That's 6000 donated to the cause, not counting the extensive magic use by Thurvold you already mentioned

Kel, to honor his elven side, would no doubt help Oakshade with the Stellari temple in particular, especially since Allie and Celene have their respective faiths covered. But he'd put coin in any temple that was lacking. Barbos may not agree with Tor's lawful outlook, but they respect the mountain God's might.

Thurvold is now obsessing over the academy. He and Leo will probably occaisionally butt heads like two master chiefs over a fine reciepe but in the end he'll yield to Leo because he knows a specialist when he sees one. I can send you rolls later if you like for masonry, spell craft, and other crafts. He is probably going to have part of the academy be underground. After all, that's a lot of 'free space' just waiting for anyone who can mine it right.

I'm going to look at some of the gems they have left an d see how much more money they can crank out there as well.

Shanti also gave 3500 in gold and gems, though for the rebuilding, not the temples, as her beliefs do not lie in that direction. (or downward either)
