It is hard to believe, but almost 28 years to the day since I started DMing, I see my first batch of level 20 characters. Granted, I have been doling out the XP a liitle on the heavy side, but this is not your typical campaign.
Once upon a time, I threw stuff out that I thought would be reasonably challenging and it killed you. Now it seems I hold back unnecessarily, and you have managed to do well even when I don't.
Your mix of talent, experience and skills have been used quite efficiently, each of you taking up where others fall short.
I am proud of you all. Well done!

I think a big help for our characters was planning. They had a rough idea of what they might face, and had spells and items that really helped out.
And luck, lots and lots of luck
Still, well done.

Yes, I agree. Teamwork, planning, and luck all played a part in our efforts. That that group is a well balanced party also was a factor to us going further with this party than the others.
