Another new serious subject, *L*... lately i have been wanting to get into some good books, i haven't read just for my own pleasure in a number of years now... in college, i spent most of my free time that i could have been reading doing extra studying... then tons of work kept me from it... and up until recently, any time i had free for reading was spent studying for my registry exam... now that i've passed that and gotten it out of the way, i'm ready to dig into some really juicy books, any subject, any author.... Anyone with a suggestion, leave it on this thread... with a brief description of what the book is about... anyone that's read the book can feel free to give their opinion on it also...

I enjoyed books by Gerry Spence, he is a down to earth lawyer that has a country twing to his life and way of writing.
Making of a Country Lawyer: An Autobiography
Author: Gerry Spence
"Spence spins wonderful yarns about his boyhood and early career as a floundering country lawyer."
I found buying books on half.com (an ebay company) is a great way to purchase new and used books and the postage is reasonable and a set rate)

another auther I enjoyed is Janet Daily. She wrote a books about romance using a setting of each state for her background. One of my favorites is the book series she wrote called:
This Calder Sky:
Stands a Calder Man:
This Calder Range:
Calder Born, Calder Bred:
this is a great series just to get your mind off things and very good reading.

If you enjoy true crime stories that will keep you in suspense I recommend any book by Ann Rule.
She has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat turning pages after pages, for your unable to put them down.

Sis! I love the Calder series! I have read them
all!
I love romance books and love Jude Deveraux and
Johanna Lindsey! Any of their books are great
and usually historical romances, so you learn a lot
about history too! I have 2 read entire books this
weekend by them! THey are the kind that once you
start, you cannot put them down!
Velvet Angel by Jude Deveraux
Set in the South of England in 1502
Hears Aflame by Johanna Lindsey
This one starts on the Norwegian coast in the
first century A.D. and takes you on a viking
voyage.

oooooooooh, i LOVE suspense novels, pickles! or crime stories... anything that has to do with forensic science, detective work, and getting the bad guy is a GOOD thing... lmao, my mom thinks i'm insane because i can sit and watch stuff like "forensic files", and "anatomy of a murder" at 3am with no lights on.... *L*....
i used to have a HUGE collection of every stephen king novel ever written, even under his pen names... but... i lost it a few years ago in "the custody battle"... *FROWN*... not sure how THAT happened, as they were MINE to begin with....
My mom absolutely LOVES anything by Nora Roberts, but most especially the series written by her as J.D. Robb.
Thanks, ladies, and Pete of course! s* for the suggestions... anyone else, feel free to comment on the titles already given, or gimme some more ideas of different things that might be interesting.
