Happy Anniversary Caer Falken Inn!

Five years ago yesterday, the very first Caer Falken Inn Adventure occured. Shadell and Leandra, played by Tarra and Nancy, were present, and were also the first characters to die, turned to stone by a basilisk on July 12, 2002. While they are the only two original players remaining, Aoborr, played by Dramavictim, started on week two, and survived that episode with the basilisk.

While we have cycled through atleast 8 other players, who are no longer with us, I am grateful that we have a steady following, including 3 from those early days, and our "newcomer", Mark, who started about three years ago.

Tonight you will complete your toughest and longest single combat to date, either emerging in valliant victory or going down in glorious defeat.

While I have sometimes thought of retiring from the game, I think that as long as there are at least you four still interested in playing, we may go on for many more years.

It is hard to believe that the game's gone for five years, though we have had two or three 'restarts' due to party destruction and character retirement. Most online games don't last nearly this long, so this tells something of the players and the DM.
