Reports to: Reporting to SVP of Finance and Administration and CFO
Location: New York City
Travel: Up to 25% US and International
Staff: 5 currently, to be expanded

Syntra Technologies founded in 1984, established and leads the market for global commerce management software, content and services, which help companies globalize business operations. Syntra?s vision is to enable over $300 billion in global commerce over the next five years, creating over $30 billion in value for its customers. The company provides the essential components for managing the financial, logistics and regulatory constraints of global trade. Global Logistics System (GLS) software, GLS Best Practices Consulting Group and GLS.com Internet products. Included among over 300 Syntra customers are BASF, Bay Networks, Compaq, GE Medical Systems, Kellogg, Lucent, Microsoft, Motorola, Pillsbury and Xerox.

Syntra recently announced GLS.com, a new e-business division dedicated to delivering Syntra Global Commerce Management solution via the Internet. GLS.com enables e-commerce based organizations and traditional companies of all sizes to quickly address globalization of business operations, from managing trade information to comprehensive e-commerce fulfillment.

Current revenues are exceeding $15 million and growing. Syntra recently closed a second round of financing lead by Oak Investments, and is looking for mergers and acquisitions in the near future and is adding up to 60 people this year. Syntra?s headquarters are located in New York City and the company also maintains regional offices in Chicago, IL and Palo Alto, CA. Worldwide staff 250 plus. A European HQ to open in summer, 2000.

Pre-IPO software company (should go public fall 2000) requires a dynamic HR professional executive. This is a very fast moving and changing environment, and requires a flexible professional.

Will be responsible for developing a people intensive HR function that will attract and retain the top managerial and technical talent to build a $100 million software company.

The Senior Management team requires a positive and supportive culture to build a world class organization.

KEY FUNCTIONS

 Major recruitment emphasis on building a total professional team; US and International

Software Development
Sales
Marketing
Professional Services
Etc.

 Integration of merger and acquisition companies into Syntra's benefits and programs. (Compensation, etc.)

 Development of competitive compensation and benefit standards (US & International) for Sales Compensation, Management Compensation, Stock Options, and Performance Compensation Standards.

 Development of Policies, Procedures and Policies Relating to Benefits, Perks, etc. and working standards, (including performance appraisals, etc.)

 Development of a corporate policy, etc. relating to US, State, and International labor laws.

 Development of training and development programs for all levels of employees. US and International.

 Continuous involvement with organization design and repositioning regarding worldwide growth.

 Continuous counsel with President/CEO and SVP - CFO and all members of key management on all HR matters.
