JOB DESCRIPTION: Located in Wilmington, DE. The Benefit Analyst will be responsible for leading the implementation of major process improvements in the area of pension data administration. This involves working closely with DuPont?s Actuarial Group & our 3rd-party pension administrator to design and carry out a process to clean existing personnel data used in pension administration calculations. Six Sigma technology will be used to improve these processes and this candidate will have an opportunity to receive Greenbelt training. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Act as the lead analyst in design and implementation of a plan to improve overall existing data integrity at the third-party administrator.
- Analyze existing data integrity issues to design data process improvements for the future.
- Lead data administration networks (across SBU?s) to implement data process initiatives and improvements.
- Ensure data administration processes ensure Qualified Plan compliance with external regulations, internal plan policy and financial control procedures.
- Develop, maintain and present external & internal communication materials needed for pension data administration activity.
- For transactions involving participants impacted by acquisition and divestiture activity, lead process improvements to simplify work flows & improve data integrity.

SKILLS:
- BS in Human Resources or related field and 2-3 years experience.
- Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge in documented policies, plans and procedures to operational and systemic flows.
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and networks which include personnel at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to apply financial and operational controls.
- Ability to understand and articulate end-to-end data process flows.
- Strong continuous improvement mindset, ability to participate in rapid change and challenge questionable practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills - ability to prepare and present information in an articulate and organized way to all levels of the organization.
- Strong systems orientation and ability to use PC applications to improve process effectiveness.

ADDITIONAL INFO: The DuPont Pension and Retirement Plans are Qualified Defined Benefit Plans that annually disburse over $1.1 Billion of retirement benefits to over 90,000 pensioners and survivors. The Company also has a Nonqualified Pension Plan that disburses annually about $60MM of corporate funds to former employees as either a lump sum or monthly annuity benefit. The core operational administration of all Plans has been outsourced to Pricewaterhouse Coopers (for pension plan recordkeeping and calculations) and Bankers Trust Co. (for pension plan payments). Although these two vendors have primary operational responsibility, administration of plan benefits can also involve AETNA (for disability pension applications) and Merrill Lynch (for rollover of qualified plan assets). Plan administration is subject to both IRS and ERISA regulations and financial accounting controls.
