The cast of characters spent some time resting in the treehouse, and getting accustomed to their new gear from the dragon horde, and then gathered all the loot left behind.

It was a long trek back to the Ibix village. Upon entering the tall grassy plain, the party was attacked by a raptor dinosaur. The first one fell fairly easily due to teamwork, but before it died it called out to its packmates, and two more joined the fight. Several were injured, but the party prevailed against the three dinosaurs. Gralla healed the majority of the injuries.

The group continued on, and in the hot tropical climate, water soon became a priority. During a rest break, an oasis in the form of a fairy glade was discovered after Kel noticed the sound of running water. The glade was inhabited by a community of fairies and a unicorn. The unicorn spoke only to Gralla, and the fae only to Kel and Lir, or at least those were the only ones who could hear what was said by the respective denizens of the glade.

Permission was granted for the group to rest overnight. Waterskins were filled, and before the group slept, the fairy folk dropped luscious fruits to the party from the trees. Upon awakening the next morning, the group found themselves in a different location; a circle of sorts had been erected about them which hid them from view.

When the group emerged from the fenced off area, they found themselves in the Ibix village. This caused a bit of alarm among the sheep folk at first. How had the strangers bypassed the sentries? During the confusion that followed, Allie showed the horn the Ibix shaman had given them. This seemed to have calmed the Ibix down somewhat. Some left to the south while a huge Ibix warrior approached in a threatening manner. Weapons were stayed however, and soon the shaman appeared, having been summoned by some of the Ibix.

Allie presented his horn back to the shaman, and Kel delivered the dragon head to the huge warrior, who proceeded to raise the head above his own triumphantly. A cheer rose among the gathered ibix. The shaman asked the party to place an offering of the dragon loot under a certain tree. A sacrifice in order to prove the worth to see the Oracle. The party agreed to deliver 1/4 of the total mundane treasure, and this seemed to satisfy the shaman.

A feast was called in honor of the group. At that time the shaman spoke of another sacrifice - the sacrifice of flesh made spirit. A naked, decorated, female ibix entered the tent where the feast was taking place. It was explained that the priestess would teach one of the men of the party, who was also to be the sacrifice, of how to approach the Oracle's mountain, and of the guardian that awaited. Kel, being the noble leader, volunteered himself to go with the ibix priestess.

And so the curtain fell until next time.
