    W32/Klez-G is a Win32 worm that carries a
compressed copy of the W32/ElKern-B virus, which it drops and executes when the worm is run. This worm searches for email address entries in the Windows address book but uses its own mailing routine.

The sender address which appears in a message is chosen from a list inside the virus. W32/Klez-G attempts to disable several anti-virus products and delete some anti-virus related files. The worm attempts to exploit a MIME vulnerability in some
versions of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, and Internet Explorer to allow the executable file to run automatically without the user double clicking on the attachment.

I thought i should share this info cause i don't know if the rest of you are getting this type of email lately, but i've been getting inundated.
This past week, i've had at least 2/day and today, Julietsmiles emailed me to tell me she recieved an email from me with the virus. I hadn't emailed her anything.

My Norton's has successfully caught each email sent to me and i was able to quarentine and delete each email without the worm invading my system. I called my techy dude from csolve and he tells me that Juliet and i must share a common email addy that is infected and that the klez virus assumes an email addy (in this case mine) and sent the email off to Juliet.

He Vscanned my system and said it was clear and that i am sufficiently protected and that my Norton's will catch whatever comes into my email as it scans coming in and scans again going out.

    Soooooooooo....
To all you people who aren't current in your virus definitions or aren't running a virus protection...GET ONE!!
This worm is nasty and it's going to share with everyone in your email address book as well as any cache addresses it can round up.
