by september, i'll be working 60+ hours a week

i start tomorrow at the Youth Cafe
in the Youth Connections building

an establishment run by young people
for young people

they have me at 32 hours a week
at minimum wage
plus i get benefits
AND i will get all my courses etc i need from them
like first aid, serving it right, superhost, etc..
it's a 20 week program
and at the end of it
they'll make sure i have a good paying job
to go to
..

then in august
i start at the extra foods thing
which i've heard will only get me tops
24 hours a week
which is fine

so that means i'll have 50 some odd hours by the end of august

and in september
i start my school
which is a minimum 10 hours a week

i'm gonna be one busy lil girl *G

Busy is good...id rather be busy
than have to sit...i think too much
when im not busy...my mind goes nonstop
and somedays it makes me crazy...and
frustrated...so busy keeps me from
thinking too much...*L*

ugh i know!
i went from stressin at work
to a meeting
thinkin it would help
but it stressed me more
so i went back to work
and just went like a machine
....all day....
it felt good to stay busy..

by the time i get home at night
my feet and legs are so sore
from running around the kitchen
that i'm usually fast asleep by 11pm
...at the latest...
it feels pretty good
to sleep after a long day of working hard..

so this weekend..
i do split shifts all the way to monday morning
get this..
friday 9-2, 4-8.. not too bad..
saturday 9-4, 7-1
sunday 9-4, 7-1

now,
in most cases like that
one would come home and sleep in between
but no..
i have to camp there,
as the busses stop running at 6pm
and i don't drive..
sooooo
i get to pitch my lil tent
at the fairgrounds
the staff tents are located
nice n close to the stage

thankfully i can function on no sleep *L
and that mondays are my day off *G

i got monday and today off
*puts my feet up
i can't feel my toes..
literally..
i worked my feet off...

by sunday night
i was so tired
i had to hang onto a fence
so i woulnd't fall over
joe had to help me walk to my tent
Ooooo joe..
hehe..
have ya ever met one of those people..
who literally takes the words
right outa yer mouth

we were talkin about this tattoo shop
and at the same time
we said the same thing
then did it again
and again
and then both laughed
and stopped at the same time

it was so crazy
the whole night went on like that

it was like talking to myself

his buddy marshall
guy i work with
told me the other day
that i reminded him of joe
i laughed
then i met joe
and i can see why..
lol

i had a great weekend
i met some really awesome people
and got to take advantage of my cuteness
by getting the lustsick men
to do my bidding
i hardly had to do a damn thing all weekend
after i got off work
pretty decent if ya ask me

saturday
i showed up for work
with a bruised lip
a bruised cheek
and a whole lotta other bruises
that i can't explain
....for reasons i can't tell you
so that got me even more attention
because people thought i got into a fight

it was..
fantastic..
i don't think i've ever felt more at peace
than i did this weekend

the drums
and the people
and the atmosphere
and just..
wow, man..
just fucking wow..

i'm still riding my cloud~

i've done an awful lot of growing up
these past few months..

joe and i ran barefoot thru the sprinklers last night
showed up late for his curfew
covered in grass
shivering
but grinning like toothless kids

we tried to warm ourselves
"i'll go home in an hour" i said
that was about, oh, 9 hours ago.. snickers

i'm tryin to save money for trips and such
so we'll see what happens
i'm going to washington in september,
but yer nowhere close to there

my program ends on november 20th
so after that
if i've saved up money
i'll be able to travel

but..
the future's too rocky for plans
so we'll see what happens
