Strange phenomena are not unheard of amongst the residents of the Caer Falken Inn, so this week's adventure should not have been a huge surprise to veterans.

Right in the middle of an encounter at Tindale, Vilarneseh, Avera, Ravensong and Marren were yanked away, only to awaken in their own beds at the Inn. After breakfast, Cattalinia joined them for a tale.

You travelled to Goldwarren and saw a hastily erected town of stone huts built outside the gnome mountain cave city. After speaking with Snortsplochet, an Old Tinker gnome, and
Clapperbelchet, the smith, you learned about the city being taken over by Ginats (as they called the troll) and his pet. The smith took an interest in the group's weapons, considered them inferior, and vowed to give them better ones if the party slew the enemy.
Avera refused to show her weapon.

Clapperbelchet also claimed to have spoken with Tor, and that the group was expected to come here as heroes, and thet Marren in particular was following a destined path, and he would receive the reward of a weapon more befitting one of his class.

After agreeing to help, the group was met by the entire town, who had gathered to show support, singing hymns to Tor in their favor and Smigdaliphant, the high priest, blessed the adventure.

The troll was discovered in short order and slain, as Vil put it, more easily than kobolds. The Otyugh pet was also quickly dispatched, without ever having bitten anyone (a bite which would have caused a horrible disease).

As the party sat around congratulating themselves and burning the troll, screams were heard from outside.

The response showed a hill giant attempting to destroy the gnomes and their second home. With the three fighters taking serious damage from the tree club wielded by the giant, it was taken down. It is possible that it had more hit points than any single creature faced by this party to date.

The city was liberated and returned to the gnomes, and the giant's treasure of Jasper,
2 Golden yellow topaz and 900 gold falcons was taken.

The smith presented the following prizes to the heroes, along with pendants showing friendship to gnomes:

To Marren: The Sunstone (+2 longsword)
    To Vilarneseh: Shadowslicer (+2 rapier)
    To Ravensong: Limbhacker (+2 greatsword)
To Avera: Ring of Prowess (+1 to hit, damage and initiative with weapon used in that hand)

1375 XP was granted to each, and some characters advanced.

How the giant's treasure is divided will be determined by who says they want gems.
