I just flipped through this month's issue of SEMA News and saw the FULL page endorsement of Lokar's new Import Products. For those that don't know, Kevin Ford (who happens to be a member of this board) won a SEMA "New Product" award for his new and innovative auto-locking hood prop rod. There is a 1/4 page picture of Kevin standing behind his winning gadget... too bad they didn't show his beautiful Type "R" as well.
Thank you Kevin for your dedication to this sport.

One more thing Kevin... I got my new catalogs from you about a week ago, but there were NO samples enclosed. (heheh)

I just got a set of their throttle and cruise control cables. The quality is excelent and they look awesome. No, its not strictly a performance upgrade but they sure look nice Its like buying a nice pair of ear rings for your girl.

Now if we can just get a few more of the domestic 'Old Guard' to pay attention to the import crowd.

Lokar is an Old School hot rod parts company. They specialize in fuel and throttle control parts. Basically a lot of CNC'd and colorfully anodized bits of aluminum. Their stuf is very well made though and priced a lot better than import parts typically are. It comes from years of competition in the domestic hot rod market. Lets be honest, parts have to work properly to build an 8 second V8.

I look forward to the big domestic aftermarket companies getting into the import biz and frankly, i'm surprised it took them this long to notice what a huge market it is. Competetion will improve the breed and hopefully drive some of the over priced crap into extinction.
