It always says, that if I have uploadedan avatar, I have to chose 'custom' to use it. I can't find 'Custom' in the avatar list? How does that work?!

that's odd. It should be on the very top of the list, second option, first is 'none', then 'custom'. That's at least how it works for me... but I sorta remember it being different before I uploaded it... dunno.
