    for the stuff I can..roger...I'll have lots of peaches, cherries, pears, rubbarb, raspberries, grapes, plums and apples...not to mention blackberries too...I already put up 8 pints of strawberry jam..am always looking for new ideas...I made a tomato and pineapple jam that was awesome...remember tomatos are a fruit.

    Wow, I wish I lived in yer neighborhood, We can't hardly find fresh, ripe fruit yet.

    I would try that tomato & pineapple jam. I am gonna guess that you sweeten it so is there a bit of tart from the tomatos? I'm trying to imagine what that combination would taste like.

    My mother used to can fruits and after the season was over she would make cobblers (blackberry & peach were my favorites). I also remember helping my mother to pick gooseberry that she made into a cobbler too.

    I hate to admit this, but I don't think I have ever eaten Rubbarb, I have heard of it and I know it is sometimes made into pies.
