HI, FOLKS!!!...DIDJA' MISS ME?
I know...I know...I've been gone for quite a while.
The past year has been quite eventful, but I won't bore y'all with the details unless ya' ask me real nice!
But...
I've spent a lot of time teaching myself to cook, and so far everyone has told me that I shoulda' been a chef rather than a contractor.
Considering the fact that I'm a GREAT contractor, I take this to mean that I'm a WONDERFUL cook!
I constantly search for interesting recipes, and thought I'd give Y'all the best one I've found.
This dish has been described as SINFUL and DECADENT, but I'll let Y'all judge it for yourselves.
CINNAMON PUDDING CAKE
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups packed, dark brown sugar
4Tbsp. butter
2tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups cold water
2 cups sifted flour
1/2tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup nuts..optional. (I prefer pecans.)
Preparation:
Combine brown sugar, water and 2Tbsp. butter in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil.
Let it cool.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon together.
Cream the rest of the butter, (2Tbsp.), into the flour mixture.
Slowly stir in the milk.
Spread into a 9"x9" pan.
Pour brown sugar mixture over batter.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
If you're dieting, you can omit the white sugar and use skim or 1% milk...It's still GREAT.
This takes less than an hour from start to finish, so try it and tell me what you think.

I think we've all kinda been in and out....on and off....here and gone.....at some point over the past year. Geeeeeezzzzz....the years do go by, huh?
It's sure good to see ya here - hope you'll come around more often! In this group of Boards we all sorta jump around and visit each others' Boards.....that's why all the links to other boards on our first page - makes the jumpin' easier. Hope you'll roam around when ya have time and meet some of the fun folks in "Absolutely Wrong" (aka AW). I mean, it's not tha law or anything like that - just makes things more fun and ya get to know more people. But Crazy Liars is still your home.....if ya want us, that is.
Also we'd love to hear whatcha been up to since we saw ya last.....(did I ask nice enough?). We've wondered!
I'm gonna try that cake.....sounds MARVELOUS! Also sounds addicting!!! Might be a week or two before I get to try it - but I'll definitely get on here and tell ya what I already know.....that it's delicious! Yummy - you can tell by the recipe.....damn, makes me wanna drool.
You take care - and don't be a danged stranger!
Hugzzzzzzzzz.....

I'd like a good duck-goose recipe, one that takes the gamey taste out of it completely!!!
