Hope it's O.K. to post this here.
I bought Netscape 6 CD & installed it last week, only to find out that it doesn't handle wavs & midis. Program suggested I download a few plugins, i.e. Quicktime, media player, & a few others I already have. Contacted Netscape & found out that it was a known issue & that it should be addressed in the updates. (Wish I had known that before I purchased!). They suggested I may try re-downloading Quicktime, Media Player, etc; to the newest updates.
Before doing that, I was hoping someone here may have tried the latest update plugins for Net 6 & if it helped?
Thanks in advance.

Sorry Jas, I heard all sorts of horror stories for Netscape 6. So I bypassed it.
But as the topic states, you can post anything here

jasoom,
I noticed the same thing as you, although I didn't pay for Netscape 6 (free download off the internet), I am trying it out. I was finally able to get Crescendo to work, but the sound quality sucks compared to running it with Communicator. On the positive side of Netscape 6 seems to be a faster upload of browser windows compared with Netscape Communicator. And I'll take anything that works faster since I can't get DSL or cable yet.

Thanks Asis & Lyta.
I usually go for the free download but thought just this once I'd try the ease of a CD for a change. Net 6 does have an attractive interface & I do notice somewhat faster uploads. I like the way it automatically handles bookmark transfers. Just wish I could get a patch for the wav/midi thing. Hopefully that will be addressed in the next upgrade. Still got a lot to explore on 6 but in the meantime still using Communicator 4.7 & Explorer 5.
