Has anyone else seen Peter Woodward's new show, Conquest, on the History Channel?
It is positively hysterical.
He has been teaching a group of fairly young and athletic adults to use old weapons. The idea being to learn how to win or conquer with them.
One week it was the long bow. Last night (Sunday at 10:30) it was various types of battle axes.
He is writing and producing as well as "hosting" it. I have been enjoying the heck out of it.
And I had no idea until I looked carefully at the credits last night that he was writing, but my general impression is that he is having a huge amount of fun with this one.

AsIs: well, I guess if you go with "least likely" it would be Detten, the quiet one who is winning all the money. That would be a good strategy if you planned to screw things up big time later on.

Hiya Polly! Long time no see! I've been watching this on occasion. I also watched him in a smashup derby race. He is a blast to watch. No magic though...lol.

Celebrity Mole.
Okay, no laurels for me. Baldwin is out. Apparently he's not a mole, he's just a jerk.
I'm switching strategies and going with Erik von Detten, the guy the other players have discounted. He's smarter than most of them think, and he's also a better actor than most of them think. He could easily be playing them. He sabotaged the team last night. Could mean he's the mole; could mean he's trying to trick people into thinking he's the mole so they get their quiz answers wrong. In any case, he's clever and quiet, and has a good cover, because none of the other players is gonna admit that a twenty-year-old can outwit them.

I'm going to go with Corbin. I think he got a pass on the fear game, sabatoge the charades game by holding back on doing American Beauty knowing the money was in there, and cost the group 25,000 at the dinner from hell.

Go and see Chicago. I saw it today and was blown away. The performances were very strong. People were applauding after many of the numbers in the theatre. It was really, really well done. Very cool.
For guys who say ya don't like musicals, the women are hot enough to get ya past that.

Well, my lead candidate got the axe last night, so I am not sure who to go with.
Boatman seems too frelling obvious. Fred seems like a possible, she is the most mysterious so far. Erik is becoming too darn funny. He is really growing on me.

Okay, I guess I am still going with Erik von Detten as the Mole. I think it would be easier for him to trick the others than for the others to trick him. And he really does need to learn to pull his bathing trunks up.

Well, you got to sympathize with him, anyway. At least ten years younger than everyone else, and then he has to listen to things like, "Erik, pull your trunks up, you look like a gay porn star."
That's just what a twenty year old wants to hear on national TV.
It could be either Hansel or Gretel, but the problem is their reactions are too natural. Hard to believe it's a deception. I really have no idea at this point but I'm sticking with Erik. He's definitely interested in the money (in fact he made about half the pot all on his own). So either he's the mole or he's the guy who's determined to beat the other's out.

okay, if you want to pit your opinion against everyone else, you can check out the polls at:
Celeb Mole
Right now, Erik is the frontrunner as the mole, with Boatman second. Most people are predicting Erik will win the game and that Frederique will be the next one "execuuted." So if it's Kathy Griffin, she has everyone fooled.
Also, despite being ridiculed by TV critics, Mole was the highest ratest show on Wednesday night in its second week. And its capturing something like 25% of the teen audience, which tells you who the star is.
