Another factor in those stupid statistics, is those of us who stopped looking in our field and took retail jobs.
I now make 1/3 of my going rate in my field, but *sigh* I am working.
Wiz, sorry to hear that bud.
*hugs*

OK, I suppose I could come "almost" anytime. Its basically the 1st rhough 8th "workdays " (meaning not a weekend day) of each month that I CANT come out and play.

I think this idea has stalled because noone will select a date.
To that end, here are the times when I will be able to come to the area.
SPX Con aka Small Press Convention
Oct 1-3 is the convention dates. I'll need to go to the convention one of those days.
Baltimore ComicCon, a more mainstream comic convention.
September 11th and 12th
If the get together is around one of those events I would be able to make it.
Hope this helps.

To be honest with you, I gave up on the idea. People didn't seem to be all that interested (shrugs) September and October are good months to visit. The weather is nice and there are very few tourists.

...and the way RL if around Me right now, the Fall would be good for me also. The idea is not forgotten, just pushed back a bit.

Early October might work for me. I went from having nowhere to go, to actually taking a couple of trips. I get back from Hawaii the beginning of Septemember, so waiting until October to hit the boss up for more time off probably wouldn't be such a bad idea.

I've never been to the Small Press Convention, but some of the most creative Comics people show up there. Anyone who wants to go is welcome to join me. One day at cons is enough to burn me out.
Early October works good for me as well. It would be great to see those that can come. We haven't hung out in too long and as Crash says, there is tons of stuff to do in and around DC.

I will be in the Baltimore/DC area the weekend of September 10-14. If anyone can make it, it should be fun.

Azziz, I am game to get together. Give me a call. I would prefer not to go to the convention. Amtrak has a train that runs between Baltimore and DC really regularly. Are you driving in?

95 sucks really, really badly. You probably know that but I thought I would share just in case.
