I rate my cities by what type of restruants there are. Normally, the better the restraunt selection, the more there is to do in the city. Strangely enough, the Thai, Korean, and Mexican in East Lansing was actually really good. I have not had better in DC. Go figure.
Bowling Green had pizza and poor restraunts overall. That is about what I know of Ohio, limited information.
I am actually not a big fan of LA. Everything is spread out, making it hard to do anything. Plus you have to have a car to get most places. While there are excellent art museums, great music, and great restraunts it is too far away and gas prices are pretty bloody high. Low on my scale. I know Queen GOP loves it. (shrugs)
Give me Chicago, great food, art scene, and public transportation. Boston, same reasons plus massive amounts of history. New Orleans is a ton of fun with lots of great food and drinks that are out of this world.
Needless to say, there are many places for you to come and visit Ian. I am guessing whereever you decide to go you will find someone from the board living there and others willing to travel.

Yup, Crash, you pretty well got Ohio down. Cincinnati does have a nice art museum, quality symphony, the Museum Center, and the Underground Railroad museum, but those are hardly in the same league as DC. Cleveland has the Rock and Roll museum, and a world class symphony as well.
But Roller Coasters, that's pretty well got it described. LOL!
Oh yeah, almost forgot. It's alleged that there is professional football in Ohio.

Well, my problem is that I'd love to visit all over, but work will only give me a max of 2 weeks holiday at a time, even in the summer holidays.
I'm happy with very low cost places to sleep, cos all I'm gonna do is sleep there and spend most of my time elsewhere.
Ahhh well, we shall see....

I can always try, once agin, to visit DC at sometime. You are always welcome to visit Boston again, Ian. Though I live in Pepperell now.

Nommy - JMS posted that he did the commentary on the proviso that he could get to say what he wanted.
They cut out what they didn't like!
JMS was waaaaay pissed when he found out.
So yes, should be on there, but without the "cancellation" stuff.
