Our Thanksgiving was very nice, all the local family together, including my granddaughter and two step-grandchildren.

I am cooking Christmas dinner, but the children will be having their own celebrations in their own homes, so only seven for me to cook for.

Thanksgiving was good. My parents flew out from California and my brother and his family drove down from NJ. Add in the boyfriend and a cousin and the place was packed.

A bit more complicated then I wanted due to my broken foot (soccer injury) but still good. I got to watch football all day since my Mother decided I shouldn't be standing cooking all day. Fighting over the use of a wheelchair at a museum was a bit annoying. I didn't use one but we could only stay out for a few hours at a time and I had to promise to sit down very 30 minutes. I love my Mother she does her job well no matter how old her kids ger. (grins)

    Merle how was your Thanksgiving?

Fine. There have only been a few days when it has hurt (damn weather changes). Other then that, it actually feels like it could support my full weight and I could run on it. Which I know is misleading. Two more weeks in the boot and then hopefully I can return a normal shoe and soccer. The inability to be as active as I like to be is driving me crazy. i don't do well with sitting still and having to ask my Mother (30 years my elder) to slow down when we were walking was a wee bit humbling.

Thanks for asking, Crash. We went to Melissa's cousin's house, about halfway between here and her parents' house. Her parents were there as well. Nine for dinner, with three more arriving later. Not a football watching crowd, though. It's the second year we've done that. Melissa's cousin is great fun, and a cat person to boot.

Sorry about the injury, Crash. Yup, I can see that having to sit still and take it easy would take a toll on you! Glad it's not giving you much pain, though.

Bmat, sounds like a nice Thanksgiving. The smaller Christmas sounds lovely, too.

Quiet here this Christmas, but the weather's been reasonable.

Quite a lot of us with colds/flu or other illnesses, including me.

Still, doing better than many others.

Blessings to you all and a healthy and happy New Year.

Christmas went well here, and now I am gearing up for a family New Year's Eve party. I start cooking tomorrow, the day before. I am making finger foods and sloppy joes.
