Joan Jett, Duke Tomatoe(former lead guitarist for REO Speedwagon) and Alice Cooper. There were quite a few others in the area, but some ticket prices are getting ridiculous. I'm not paying 45 bucks for a concert ticket for general seating. Geez, some of these people are greedy.

Hello KingFozzy, I didn't realize that Starz were back together. Is Richie Ranno still on Guitar, Michael Valentine Smith on Vocals? Where were they performing?
Mr C, I have seen the Tuna a couple times, Jorma is phenomenal on guitar, and as a bassist, Jack Cassidy leaves me bewildered (Which ain't hard).
Hey Farmboy, Didn't Duke Tomatoe front a blues band in the Chicago area back in the 80"s?
Sparkle, We are in the same boat as I haven't been to a show in Quite a while. Thank goodness for my Video & Cd collection and a vivid Imagination ( )

Wellll- being the great american that I am - I find the need to make a suggestion! Seeing's how it's always a great thing to support the troops - it would really be great to see Cherie/Jett/etc. doing a few USO shows on the road. It would also be a great political move for Cherie in her upcoming run for "President in 2008." HEE HEE
Love ya Cherie!!!! I'd travel to Iraq and back, on a slow boat to China, to see that show!!!
Peace everyone!

First, Almarockstar, I'll try to get your money back on the Slipknot concert. They're from Des Moines, gawd help us. I kinda saw one of there shows (no, I didn't pay for it) and left after 10 minutes.
Two, yerp, on Duke Tomatoe. That's predominately what he's doing now is blues. He plays here not far from where I live at a place called ironically, Blues On Grand, about once a month. The place is wall to wall packed every time he's there. He stays to talk to everybody after the show. Pretty casual guy. He's got a great sense of humor about the music business and is amused by the current line-up of so-called "stars." I better not put up what he said in reference to boy bands and pop princesses. It was up there with David Crosby's statement about Britney Spears when asked his opinion on her "music." Dave replied, "Britney Spears is about as deep as a K-mart birdbath." Ok, we'll leave that one there.

Sparklelynx, Joan did a three-week tour of the middle-east with the USO last year that Kenny Laguna humorously refers to as "The Stan Tour." Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. I wish she'd quit going so close to the front lines in hot zones. I didn't have any gray hair till I met Joan. Good idea on Joan and Cherie and the gals doing a tour together for the USO. Maybe when it settles down a little more.
