Received my dvd of Taboo today thanks to enessis (thank you again) & I was really hesitant to watch it not knowing what to expect - not my cup of tea as they say. While it's not at the top of favorite shows for me - I thought John did a pretty great job as maz (I wish my legs looked that good) - plus he had great comedic timing - his performance was very engaging - he really performed well in this role (esp at the cosmetic counter - I was laughing my ass off )- John was hysterical - I can honestly say this is one of the funniest roles I've seen him perform! He's very good at comedy! I'm glad I had the chance to see it.

Heh. "Well, it's a pity it doesn't f*cking work then, isn't it?" - I love this line and the way he says it. And I love the whole show, Euan was amazing, Boy George was very well uhmm... boygeorgish as Leigh. I hope they had a great time doing it.
And yes, John's got better legs than the half of women population, it's really unfair.

yep, he was pretty damn good in it - loved the part when he flashes wearing the black dress LOL! I just couldn't believe those legs - wow! LOL I thought he looked hot in that black dress - and everyone said how well he walked in those heels, but I didn't believe it until I saw it!!! I think this is the first time I've really seen him in a comedic role - Tugger yeah was comedy, but I have to say - I didn't see any Tugger in this part at all - this is a character like I've never seen him play before (and I don't just mean because of the dress - the whole character was different from the others I've seen him do).

I know this doesn't really fit in here, but TABOO always reminds me of my days at the CAMDEN PALACE. I used to live in London, you see, at the time Boy George, PHillip Salon and Marilyn were there too. So I had a few encounters with them. Watching TABOO always gives me that feeling again of that time. I didn't know anything about John then obviously. I only got round to seeing CATS much much later.
Got a pic of me and Phillip at the Wimpy bar opposit the Camden Palace in Camden Town. And a pic of the real Maz and Boy-George and me, only that I wasn't really in that picture I attached myself in order to send it to a friend who wanted to see them and me, at the time. But I did meet them both at the Palace of course.

My little claim to fame
those were the days... (<- Bombi, doesn't that phrase remind you of something? )
But I did get to meet John during CATS LONDON, and a lot more during CATS-BERLIN, obviously.(as I live in Germany)
