Well i just thought i would mention them again seems Pound players don't get the attention they deserve when it comes to people from Clintwood.

they do deserve credit they are the future of Pound, they are freshman they have had success in Jv they played some on varsity and didn;'t do bad. so they should be pretty good in the future.. im not saying that they are going to be all state or anything im only saying they will be good

I agree they will be good, but I also have the upmost confidence that Chris Strouth will be all state. Of course that is my opinion.

hard to say anything like that especially when you haven't seen any of the kids in mid and northern Va. play so I wouldn't jump as far as to say that

    you might upset the board

but really thats a tall order

Oh well it is only my opinion. I think he has a good shot and will pull for him all the way. I guess we will see when football season gets here.

Re: Future Stars of the LPD

I see Pound has having alot of good player this year in football.Drew H and Chris Strouth may be two of the best LB to play on the same team in the lpd for some time ,Chris Hughes ,Adam Ryan should made a great team at RB ,and John Tucker will be one of the top WR if he does not play QB .The line could be good if they work hard with Moose ,Will Mays ,J Rose ,big Mike ,C Baltis .Pound may be a good team if all the player will work real hard until football season get here .I have seen Chris Srouth play FB for a long time he can be the best FB to ever come out of Pound High school,a great blocker ,and he will knock you head off as a RB or blocker. Will Mays and all the linemen keep working hard in the weight room .GO CATS

People have told me about this Chris Strouth hope he will work his bottom out and be as good as you all say he can be .Drew Hubbard is a good ball player .From what I hear Pound should have a good football team ,lets hope so like to see them do good .

Pound must be loaded this year, sounds like they have all the talent!!!..I wish Appalachia could get some of these outstanding freshmen that are good enough already to play college ball. Hell, I dont even think they need practice, its that natrual talent they got up there in the big LB.

Re: Future Stars of the LPD

I wouldnt go as far to say they are going to be the best ever.. They are only in 9th and 10th grade for gods sake.. They SHOULD be good but as said in earlier posts Pound has always dominated the little league program and then done nothing on the varsity level for the sake of Pound fans I hope that that trend changes.. but it goes both ways Pound fans are praising their players but then it seems that they can't say anything like that without offending the whole board..
