In track the person is actually doing the running though, in Nascar the car does it.
so does that mean track is not a sport...you are just running around in circles
nascar is a sport...the kind of endurance and strength they have and the physical condition they are in to control a vehicle at 200+ MPH for 500 miles

I've never seen a car drive its self anywhere.
I do believe it is a sport.
now I have to ask are any of the "sports" where you have judges giving out scores really sports? gymnastics? figure skating? diving? They are all based on judges opinions and the winner is always subjective. At least in Nascar you have a clear winner. The guy who crosses the line first.

if nascar is a sport, then going to the county fair and squirting water throught the clown's mouth to get your horse or car to race up the track is a sport too.
The car is still doing all the work compared to running.
so your saying that anyone can get in a car and win the Daytona 500 becuase the car does all the work?

can anyone be an astronaut and go to the moon.....no.....is that a sport? commanding a spaceship?
when you race u race to win....when ur goin to the moon you do a job not try to win a trophy.

Im not saying winning races doesnt take skill, I just dont consider it a sport. Driving a car just isnt a sport IMO.
what is the main objective in every sport? TO WIN.
