Re: Nascar a sport?

I would put Mark Martin up against anyone in any sport pound for pound.

    Re: Nascar a sport?

I looked him up on Baseball Index, but it doesn't state anything about him playing 1B, but I always thought he did. Maybe he was more of a power pitcher, and was injured and went to the knuckler. I know something happened to him at some point. That is why he was no where to be found from 93-97.

    Re: Nascar a sport?

Wakefield began his minor league career as a corner infielder. He played this position until a scout told him that he would never get above AA ball with his skills. Wakefield then began experimenting with various other positions and developed the knuckleball that has made him so well known.

yeah Mark Martin versus Lebron James in anything and it can't be racing or basketball

Lebron James beats him like he stole somethin

same thing for about 90% of anyone in the NBA or NFL

I said pound for pound, try reading more than what you want to see jacka$$.

By that logic you can put Lebron against Peyton Manning in anything besides football or basketball and get the same result.

That statement is very much dependent on which athletic events you are talking about...very very much dependent. Sports that require jumping? Then yes you are correct. Sports that require endurance, pound for pound strength, hand eye coordination, water sports, quick thinking and reflexes etc...Then no so fast my friend.

Peyton Manning was drafted as a shortstop out of high school.

I am going to have to agree with vthokie on this one. I can't name one sport that Mark Martin can beat James at.

    Re: Nascar a sport?

Not directed at anyone, but for everyone.

Considering Mark Martin's age dont really help. How do you know Jeff Gordon can't play other sports or bench 225 20 times. You don't your just speculating that he can't. How do you know that Kasey Kahne can't run a 4 sec. 40, you don't. So why bring up what you think they can't do when you have no evidence.

Not directing this to you in particular just using your quote as a reference. I will say that Dale Jr. could take most any of us in the boxing ring, he has his own ring in his garage and is what he does to stay in shape.
