Clintwood boys won over Wise jv and varsity. Great games. I think the score was only a couple of points difference in both games.

Coeburn 78, Powell Valley 69

COEBURN - The Blue Knights used teamwork and a 29-point outing from freshman Andrew Adkins to beat the Vikings in LPD action.

Three other Coeburn players joined Adkins in double digits. Brian Pate posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 boards for the Blue Knights (2-1, 1-0). Ryan Hollyfield's 12 points and Tyler Lawson's 11 points and seven boards rounded out the key performers for Coeburn.

Powell Valley was led by the scoring duo of Stephen Mumpower and Delmas Lawson, with 25 and 19 points, respectively.
