Re: Who will give Twin Valley the best challenge?

Losing to Twin Valley took a lot out of Haysi no doubt. I don't think they are a threat now.

But my point was that here is a team with an average record who came very close to upsetting Twin Valley. If Haysi could give them such a challenge, who is to say that a strong Cumberland team like Castlewood, Twin Springs, or Rye Cove couldn't?

if anyone is gonna beat TV it will be a team who minimizes turnovers and uses their bench to the best of their ability, you have to be pretty deep and press full court the entire game to get into TV's bench

no starting 5 in the region (or the state for that matter) can hang with TV's starting 5

Maybe the Knicks, Larry Brown might be able to outcoach Goodman.

Not necessarily thinking about who can beat Twin Valley. I'm not sure any team can.

But I'm wondering who is going to give them the toughest challenge. Who is going to show up and make them work for the Region D championship?

Should Twin Valley win the Region D, do you see them going on to win the state championship?

Well the way things are shaping up, I believe TV will probably face Castlewood in the semis. If Castlewood is on, they could hit enough 3s to make things very interesting.

Then if they reach the finals, I would think they would line up against GC, or RC (if RC takes care of business Friday night). Both of these teams are relentless with their defensive pressure. Now, GC will run at least 10 deep and sub in and out to wear them down. RC is not that way, but their starters are in excellent shape. They are about 8 deep, so that would be a benefit to the Eagles. I do think RC has the offensive power to possibly stay with TV with the type of defense RC plays.

no i dont...Barham will control Baldwin down low and last year's state champs push the ball well enough and are deep enough to beat TV

Haysi can beat any team in the region if they play the boys right. This whole throwing everyone in and out just isn't working. When we have a solid 7 people that play most of the game then we play very well.

No, there aren't any Colley's left, but Haysi has three players in Ryan Jones, Kevin Viers, and Lance Compton who can be lethal with the 3pt.

If you take away the 3pt, you take away Haysi's scoring ability. But, if any or all of these three are hot on the 3pt shot, yes they can beat any team.
