hahaha ok...you cant say tennis isn't a sport...it basically combines all the physical skills from most sports and puts it into one
it takes a great amount of strength to move a steering wheel??

in that case...stacking cups is a sport, as well as farting
"golf is a game to me...not a sport"
Thats the problem...you base your views on "what things are to you," not what they are in reality.

like I said in the beginning, it has been debated by many and no one agrees. You are not going to change my mind and You are not going change yours.

if those are your sports of choice then thats fine have at it...i personally am not amused by either.
I just farted.....am I an athlete?
sport takes physical speed, agility, endurance, range of motion, muscle coordination, awareness, hand-eye coordination, jumping, power, strength
you cant just have 2 or 3 of those qualities and call it a sport

A sprinter is an athlete. he doesn't need jumping, endurance, hand eye cordination and I don't see a sprinter having a big range of motion to go straight down a track.

Nascar Driver
1 endurance
2 awareness
3 hand-eye coordination (they must see and react to what is happening)
4 strength
still dont get how strong you gotta be to turn a steering wheel
It does take strength to hold a wheel through a turn with all the forces of the car pulling against you. I just thought of something else this thread started by sying nascar isn't a sport. Well nascar encompasses more than just the driver, the pit crew members are just as much athletes and athletic as any sport you can name. I know exactly how much goes into performing pit duties since I have done it personally (in the Hooters series).
