    Re: Region D baseball

Allen was good in HS, but he improved his game a ton at LMU, especially at the plate. I think he set about every homerun record down there. The boy flat out had the smoothest swing I have ever seen. It was so compact, and fluid. I watched him take a split wooden bat that was taped together and blast homers out at RC over the football scoreboard into the pasture. About 350-370 I would venture to say is how far they were going. It just didn't even look like he was putting effort into it, and splinters were going everywhere.

He could bring it to. He had a .88 ERA his SR year.

On a sad note, he could use everyones prayers. I heard he has been out of work for a few months due to Rocky Mountain spotted fever. I don't know a lot of details, but apparently it has him down pretty bad.
