Alot of the experts are saying the fight should not have been stopped when it was due to the round almost being over and that Gracie would have been able to re-group. Made mention of him looking a little lighter than normal as well. Nevertheless, like fellow legend Randy Couture he seems to be well past his prime.
In the amount of time left and the way Hughes was just pounding on Gracies head and Gracie not really defending against it he could have gotten hurt bad just having his head pounded on for another 30 seconds or so.
