dude, from my point of view it is just a high school should not be that hard to adjust...it is not like we are about to be put underneath a dictatorship...and as for my knowledge on the bible i dont reckon it says that after wise co schools consolidate the world will end

Essentially it would be a dictatorship.. a dictatorship of Wise and BSG over the smaller towns in the county.

Youngins...when one says I think graduated in 2002 and one in 2005 (if I recall) then yep, thats what a lot are going to call you.

You're both sitting there saying 'fight the power' so much that I feel like I'm listening to a Public Enemy song...and you then accuse others of raving.

Change is not always good but its not also always bad. If it was, you wouldn't be on a computer, you definitely wouldn't be sharing an internet connection (MsDos didn't have such things or anything before that). Instead of just being so against it, it would be great to open your eyes/ears/minds to the idea and listen to other sides, and studys. Then if you disagree, thats one thing. I'm not in favor of consolidation but I do understand that in our rural area, that our small schools would still be small, and no matter what you say, our quality of education is not equivalent. You are right in a manner about AP classes but the problem is this, in some places AP classes (or equivalent) are becoming the basic. I took the most advanced classes I could in high school, never took a study hall and took an additional class. That being said, there was areas when I went to college that I was woefully behind people from other areas. Did I get a good education? In some regards, yes. Did I get an eduation that, when it came down to me and someone else with similar statistics competiting for something, that I was most likely going to be the most advanced? Absolutely not. Our population base is dwindling, now why would people constantly leave this area? To better themselves. I don't fault anybody for wanting to do so, and to do so would be juvenille. I love this area, and don't want to leave it. That being said, if/when I have kids I want them to have the best, I would love for them to have a lot of the same experiences I had, but I also would be like every other person with a brain and a heart, I would want them to have better.
