Actually they can. It's called a B game where older kids who don't get much p/t on varsity can play in JV games for experience. It's usually agreed upon by the coaches before hand though.
I smell some overexaggeration ..
11th and 12th graders in JV?
BS.. you know the coaches wouldn't let them do that..

Never knew there was such a thing.. Don't think it's fair at all though to mix and match grade levels like that.
They should just keep JV 8th and 9th grade and Varsity 9th-12th grade (with 9th graders playing if they CHOOSE TO DO SO.)
That'd be like taking someone playing at a college (who isn't starting) and agreeing to let them play again in the high school they used to attend...
Seems stupid to me at least.

We have THREE sophs on this squad (a couple aren't huge contributers) As for playing a real Friday night game: how'd you guys do against us? To hear someone from Pound crying about that is funny as hell, considering my son's 3rd-grade squad only lost one game 2 yrs ago against Pound's 5th graders. When asked why we were having to play kids much bigger and stronger, we were told that "there wasn't enough kids to field a 3rd-grade squad". That seemed funny to me because Twin Springs and Rye Cove (small communities) had no problem doing it, but we could go on and on about that L.L. program over there (from what I hear there's a new sheriff in town there who's going to clean it up).
Pound did have 1-2 olders guys? LOL that whole post was funny.
Let's not call the kettle black pot

It's usually done by both squads so it's no big deal. The older kids that don't play varsity are usually no real threat to the younger ones anyway. I don't know if it happened in the game mentioned above or not. There's somebody crying about this crap every year though. Who cares? It's JV. It's meaningless. All it is is a learning experience.

Isn't there at least one post a year from Pound on this exact same thing I.D.?

JV or not, though, I'm sure the players still feel cheated when their teams are faced with guys 2-3+ years older than them.
Whose fault is it if the 11th and 12th graders don't get to start in the first place?
It's the players' faults if you ask me.

I guess it's called a 'B' game for "Bully game."

I don't know how they feel cheated when it's the same situation with varsity. Clintwood is playing with 5-6 freshmen starting this year against seniors. Most of the time it's just sophomores. Every once in a while a junior or two.
