Re: Mega...

No shot at playing for a title next year IMO. IMHO we are looking at 2-4 years or so (if we do a good hire), to get this mess cleaned up, and get Miami football back to Miami football.

Mega, your boy Colin Cowherd was saying today that the next coach at UM would be Barry Alvarez.

    Re: Mega...

lol def not Barry, but he does have the ties to Donna Shalala. Pete Garcia will have the most say so and thats Butch's boy. After that, I have no idea about the short list but one things for certain, they have to keep Cristabol, the offensive line recruiting is imperative. Im impressed with what Marquis Mosely has done with the receivers as well.

    Re: Mega...

That was his reasoning (Donna Shalala). He said that's why Alvarez up and retired last year all of a sudden. He knew that Coker was in trouble and that the job was waiting on him.

what I'm hearing is that Butch will be in Arkansas, and Houston Nutt will be in Raleigh

    Re: Mega...

Isn't Alvarez the AD at Wisconsin? Depending upon how much fire is burning in his belly to coach, he may come to the U, but if he is an AD why not run with it while your already King in Madison.

    Re: Mega...

The job is likely not going to Alvarez, Im pretty sure about that, even though Shalala may support it, most of the other people in charge dont, according to Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel.

We did lose Chris Perry today as a decomitt, big loss.

    Re: Mega...

That is a big loss. Did he recommit some where else, or just reopen his recruitment?
