Re: With the first pick in the 2007 draft....

If Bobby Olive Garden goes with Okoye, that means no trade, and Patrick Willis falls to the 49ers.

Somewhere in San Fran, Mike Nolan foaming at the mouth to get that 11th pick up there.

It actually works out good because if the Dolphins pick Quinn, Texans pick Okoye OR if they trade w/someone and they pick Willis, then either Okoye or Willis is available for SF.

I'd be happy w/either one. Either that or they could go offense and reach to take a guy like Dwayne Bowe or Ted Ginn Jr. w/the 11th pick.

I think Michael Smith on ESPN was right just now--they'll go either Okoye or Jamaal Anderson (DE out of Arkansas). Most likely Anderson because he's a tradition pass rusher as opposed to Okoye who's more of a noseguard.

Michael Smith says Okoye is a NT, I dont think he is but he says they trade down and take Jamal Anderson. I think they should take Okoye. Hes the BPA to me.

Yep..I think you are right...I didn't expect him to fall this far considering that Oakland, Cleveland, Detroit, and Minnesota all needed QBS...I'm not sold on Jackson in MINN or Kitna in DET..but he's still there...and I think he will have a chance to be a star in Miami who IMO hasn't had very good QBs since Marino retired.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

Even with Okoye playing NT, he would still help that defense. Either way that is a good and safe pick for the Falcons. Both would help that defense out.

They should take Okoye, but they'll likely take Anderson. One of the trends with every player on either side of the ball that the Falcons have taken in the past few drafts has been speed, speed, and more speed. Anderson's a pass rushing end and would fit well in their scheme, I think.

I guess Patrino didnt value his own guy. Butch Davis just drafted William Green again
