    J-Ham

I was wondering if anyone on here has spoken to him. I am curious as to where he may be headed.

    Re: J-Ham

Just found this, it was in a paper according to the source (Tribune?)

LOOKING ELSEWHERE: Second-year safety Justin Hamilton was a bit of a surprise roster cut. Hamilton injured an ankle against Denver and probably would have missed at least one month of the season. He was given the option of going on injured-reserve and sitting out the entire season or being placed on injured-waived and hoping to sign with another team
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

I hope that decision doen't come back to haunt him.

Well, if he heals, I'm sure Cleveland will be the first one to reach out to him. They are lacking at safety depth right now, and have the guy on their roster (Baxter I think), who is coming back from major issues on both legs, and hasn't played yet in preseason.

Also if I recall right, they kept a 4th TE that most people felt would be cut and go to the practice squad.

It makes sense to me that they went this route, because he was their backup and seems like at worst, he would have went practice squad.

I do not think he was PS elagabale (since he was active for more than 9 games last season)

I think once he clears waivers he will be eligible for the practice squad. I don't think anyone has picked him up yet so it's looking like he is going to clear the waiver wire....at least as of this morning nobody had picked him up.

    Re: J-Ham

i think practice squad players can only be rookies. i may be wrong though. seeing how hamilton has played in the nfl for a while now, i don't think he's eligible for the practice squad. more than likely he'll sign after week 1 with the browns. that way, he won't be given this year's salary. or he can sign with another team after he clears waivers.

    Re: J-Ham

You can't be on the Practice squad if you were active on the Main roster for 9 games the year before or if you have been on the PR for 3 year before
