    Re: Vt-LSU

Va Tech fans should be a little humble. All you hear is how great their defense is and how great their program is. They have come a long way but......they are not one of the better teams in college footbal. Their defense is OVER RATED!!! and their offense...well their stats or lack of them speak for themselves.
I guess the national championship trophy case will stay empty at least another year.....

    NOW!!!!!

As I was saying before, VT is not a top ten team...Yet every year they are the only team in the ACC that gets ranked up in the polls....They are not even a top 3 ACC team at this point, just like last year and I fully expect a couple more trouncings this season.....

BC, GT, VT and Clemson in my opinion are top 20-25 teams - no higher, possibly lower. The rest of the conference was went to **** since expansion. Maybe it is karma catching up with us.

It's a good thing too or else my Hoos would look more miserable that we already are.

    Re: Vt-LSU

I think a lot of the preseason hype was attributed to the 16-17 starters back from last season. But the team seems to have gotten worse than better. LSU is a good team, but VT's D plain stunk it up. Granted they spent a lot of time on the field due to the O's total lack of production, but they should expect that by now.

At this point they will be fortunate to even get a decent bowl bid, but the rest of the ACC has pretty well stunk also with the exception of GT. Clemson has looked good at times also.

One thing I would indeed do is keep Glennon on the bench and name TT the starter. You have burned his shirt and he looked better than Glennon and he is a 15 game starter and RS Jr. Hard to believe VT has struck out on 3 QB's in SG, Holt, and Whitaker...

    Re: Vt-LSU

It could just be the case that the conference as a whole needs to go forth and find new OC's and QB coaches and infuse some new blood into the conference.

Last year the media kept saying the ACC's defense was tough, but I think the gawdy numbers put up by some of our defenses was due to playing against a bunch of poor offenses.

Clemson is the best in the ACC this year with GA Tech being a close second IMO.
