Both are dumb imo, in football higher seed should host. Basketball should rotate from conference to conference.
I think it is the trade off for the football championship being held at UVA wise all the time now

That's pretty accurate. VA High will be down from last year, especially if White decides not to come out for basketball this year. Lebanon will be a little better than last year, but they still won't be within 15 points of Gate City. John Battle will probably go winless in the CMD.
The test is simple, if "your" team wins a national championship, do you get a championship ring? If the answer is yes, then you can say "we." If not, you can't.
clintwood and coeburn are div. 2........
There division one, they petitioned the VHSL to move down to D1. Anybody got any idea how girls will go?

They did petition down, but it only affects football this year as I'm told.
cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war.....
If thats the case it's another dumb move by the VHSL, why should one team be allowed to play down in one sport and not another. Can they petition to play down in basketball as well?

I don't think they can this year.

You can't petition to play down in basketball. Haysi is the biggest school in Div 1. Clintwood, Coeburn, and Castlewood are all Div 2.
